Dennis Lessard Obituary
Dennis was born on October 24, 1946, to Marguerite and Robert Lessard. He grew up in Nashua, NH, and graduated from Nashua High School in 1964. Throughout his high school years, he was known for drawing caricatures on the blackboards, leading to art awards even as a teen. He attended New England College of Art and was a graphic designer at Sanders Associates. Later he was employed at Itek Industries as the Art Director, where he worked on designs for the Hubble Telescope.
He was an active member and intrinsic part of the St. Ignatius Parish in Somersworth, NH, where he served as Lector, Vacation Bible School team member, and a founding member of the Catholic Journeymen, a men's prayer group. He also designed and created the Christmas Nativity sets for all 3 churches of his Parish, as well as the Tomb for the Easter vigil. He was a creative force who inspired people with his art and passion.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Lessard of 38 years, his first wife Earlene McCutcheon and their two daughters, Nancy Hughes and her husband Robert, and Wendy Peters; his sisters Michelle Lane, Celeste Davio, Cynthia Dube and her husband William; two grandchildren, Robert (Robby) Hughes, and Izabel Peters, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. He is also survived by dear and close family of the Lombardozzi's and his godsons Michael, Justin, and Aiden Anderson.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave. in Dover, NH on Wednesday, November 13th between 9:00 and 10:00 am, followed by a procession to St. Martin's Church in Somersworth for a Mass at 11:00am. There will be a reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass.
