Gail Goelzer Colbeth

Somersworth, New Hampshire. Gail Goelzer Colbeth, 59, passed away March 2, 2026, peacefully at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Growing up, Gail was on the swim team and played clarinet in marching band. She graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in 1986 and from Plymouth State College in 1990, and, being a whiz in math, went on to a career in banking, most recently with Lighthouse Credit Union.

Outside of work, Gail lived life to the fullest, adventuring on the motorcycle with the love of her life Mike Gagne to beaches, lighthouses, lakes, the mountains, even an epic ride to Prince Edward Island. Gail and Mike cheered the grandkids on at concerts, t-ball, basketball, softball, and cheerleading, and hosted countless Easter egg decorating, pumpkin carving, and craft-making parties, not to mention big family celebrations for birthdays, Halloween, and Christmas. She never missed a Patriots game, often texting her mom the whole time.

Born in Morristown, New Jersey, in 1967, Gail was the daughter of Alan and Florence "Lori" Goelzer. She is survived by the love of her life Mike Gagne; children Samantha (Beau) Murray and Jacob Colbeth; grandchildren Isabella, Maddigail, Parker, Abygail, and Violet; mother Lori Goelzer; siblings Scott (Joanne) Goelzer, Beth Goelzer, and Heather (Michael) Cunningham; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and beloved pets Zeva and Kofi. She was predeceased by her father Alan Goelzer.

The family extends our deepest gratitude to Gail's team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and Wentworth Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness.

The family will honor Gail's life at a private gathering. Memorial donations may be made in Gail's name to support the Seacoast Cancer 5K or the American Cancer Society.
