Maureen S. Colbeth died December 23, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born December 30th, 1950, to Clayton and Joan Smith in Hyannis, MA, and spent her childhood on Cape Cod until moving to Newbury, VT with her family in 1964. Maureen graduated from Newbury High School in 1967, and while attending NHS, she met the love of her life, Rodney Colbeth and the two were married on May 10th, 1975.
Maureen worked for the State of New Hampshire Department of Welfare, Swenson's Insurance Agency, Cottage Hospital Orthopedics and the Alpine clinic, she retired in 2009. She enjoyed spending time with family, trips to visit family in Cape Cod and taking care of her home.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rodney Colbeth on March 21st, 2011; her sisters, Eileen Williams in 1979, Moira Dorr in 2020, and Nora Brooks in 2024; and a brother, Robert Smith in 2010.
Maureen is survived by; her children, Jason and Ashley (Nye) Colbeth and their children Allie and Jack of Newbury, VT, Amanda and Doug Kleintop and their children Avery and Sydney of Bradford, VT; a special niece, Braley Dorr and Fiancé Zachary Simpson of Newbury, VT; and a sister, Kathy Kennedy and husband Brian of North Haverhill, NH.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Sally Spear, who took such good care of all of us when mom's time got short.
