Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Michael Marzella Sr. and Doris (Freas) Marzella.
Denny worked at Francis L. Freas Glassworks for 35 years. He loved collecting all kinds of antiques such as bottles, trains, phonographs, etc. He also enjoyed going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions. Denny loved spending time at their family cabin in Haneyville PA, where he enjoyed dinners with his family at Happy Acres restaurant. Anyone who knew Denny, understands he loved to engage in conversation, whether it was with someone he knew throughout his life, neighbors or a stranger he just met.
Surviving is his son Dennis Marzella Jr.; son Eric Marzella, husband of Jessica; sister Diane Carlile, wife of Christopher; and granddaughter Madison. He is predeceased by his brothers Francis "Franny" Marzella, Michael "Mickey" Marzella, and Douglas "Dougie" Marzella.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464) with Pastor Mark Muthler officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A visitation will also be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society (https://secured.humanesociety.org/) in Dennis' name.
