Dennis Miller, a cherished soul known for his boundless kindness and infectious humor, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, in
Evansville, IN, at the age of 74. Born on October 23, 1951, in
Greenville, KY, to the late Ray and Bonnie Miller, Dennis's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, including his brother Worie "Tommy" Miller and his cousin Wayne Ford, with whom he shared an exceptionally close bond. He is also preceded in death by his Aunt and Uncle, Nona and Ernie Ford, cousin Caroline Smith and a nephew, Daniel Miller.
Dennis's life was one of service and dedication. After completing his degree in Nursing, he committed himself to the health and well-being of others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Evansville. His compassion and care for his patients were evident in every interaction. In addition to his civilian career, Dennis proudly served his country as a cook in the United States Navy, a period of his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.
Those who knew Dennis will fondly remember his love for reading, especially war books that reflected his deep respect for military history and the complexities of human conflict. His passion for technology was evident in his enjoyment of video games, which he played with skill and enthusiasm on both his computer and phone.
Dennis was the epitome of selflessness, always placing the needs of others before his own. His intelligence and wit brought laughter and light to every gathering, while his sweet and caring nature made him a friend to many. His presence was a source of joy and comfort, and his ability to remain perpetually happy and friendly was a testament to his strength of character.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his sister Regina Steimer, cousins Sheila (Rusty), Debbie, Julie, Angel, and Carl. Dennis was an exceptional uncle to his nieces and nephews. Dennis also leaves a legacy of cherished memories with numerous friends and extended family members, all of whom were touched by his generous spirit.
Dennis Miller's life was a beacon of love and service, and his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
