Dennis Lee Mulholland passed away peacefully in the early morning of February10th in Greeley, CO, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on October 5, 1947, in Sheridan, WY, to Robert and Geraldine (Rardin) Mulholland.
Dennis grew up in Sheridan, where he developed a lifelong love for fishing, skiing, and fast cars. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1965. It was in Sheridan that he met Ronna McChesney, and the two married in 1973. After a brief time in Salt Lake City, they moved to Cheyenne in 1976 and welcomed three sons: Brent, who passed away at birth, Brian, and Nathan.
In 1984, the family settled in Greeley, CO, where Dennis would spend the next 40 years. A dedicated professional, Dennis built a long career as a banker and loan officer at various institutions in Greeley.
Beyond his career, Dennis was a true motorhead, with a deep passion for the outdoors, fast cars, and motorcycles. Summers were spent boating, and winters were filled with ski trips with family and friends.
By the mid-'90s, Dennis and his sons found a love for motocross racing, and weekends were often spent at the racetrack-Dennis working on bikes, taking photos, and supporting his sons. He also loved riding his sport bikes through the canyons, especially Rist Canyon and Horsetooth, where he could be seen zipping around tight curves. Even in his later years, he rarely missed a chance to take his motorcycle or Corvette out for a drive.
Above all, Dennis adored his four grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. His love for adventure, speed, and family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patty, and his infant son, Brent. He is survived by his sons Brian (Dawn) Mulholland of Windsor and Nathan (Mandi) Mulholland of Thornton; his beloved grandchildren Riley, Blakely, Beckett, and McCartney; his brother Tom (Karen) Mulholland of Sheridan; and his sister Carol (Chris) Hill of Sheridan.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 3, at Adamson Life Celebration Home, with a reception to follow.
