Dennis "Skip" Perry, was born to Eternal Life on Saturday, December 31, 2022, age 78.
Proud father of Michael (Stephanie) and Susan Belman (David). Caring "Papa" to Kaitlyn, Carissa, and Gavin. Preceded in death by his beloved parents Olive and Clifford, and his wife Rosalind.
Before retiring, Skip was the Vice President of Operations at BCI (Building Committee Inc.) building banks and credit unions nationwide. He managed a team of superintendents and negotiated all contracts with contractors and suppliers. He helped architects and engineers with design questions, assisting them in determining what would work in "real life" versus what was written on paper. He was well-liked, admired, and respected in his field.
He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, some being; breeding fish, and birds, playing cards, gardening, and being in the sun, but a love of gasoline and loud engines resonated within his DNA (something he passed down to his children). If a car race was on, he was watching it. He was even invited to attend a NASCAR race as a VIP in the 90's. His favorite hobby was tinkering with "Hot Rods" and figuring out what his next project would be. There was rarely a time when his garage was not home to an early model Ford or Chevy (a '32 Ford being his favorite). He was an active member of the WSRA (Wisconsin Street Rod Association), wearing several hats within the organization over the years, as well as attending corn roasts, picnics, pig roasts, car shows, rod runs, and more. It's said that Skip was the life of the party, his laugh contagious, and had an affinity for keeping cups filled so no one was left thirsty. He made a lot of friends through this hobby, friends that became like family, and he will be missed.
In accordance with his final wishes, no memorial services will be held.
