Dennis Price Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greene Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel on Mar. 30, 2026.
Wayne Price, age 75, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on March 28, 2026, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Born on January 24, 1951, in York County, he was the son of the late James Lee Price Sr. and the late Pauline Koon Price, both of Rock Hill, South Carolina

Wayne was a man of quiet strength, steady character, and deep loyalty. He carried these qualities throughout his life, touching the hearts of all who knew him. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and carried that sense of duty and honor throughout his life. He spent many years in real estate, helping others find homes while also investing in properties throughout the community. His presence was a source of comfort, and his kindness left a lasting imprint on family and friends alike.

Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Gloria S. Price; his brother, James Lee Price Jr., and his wife, Kathy, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Ann Tyler Price, of Loris, South Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dewey Eugene Price, of Loris, South Carolina; and his sister, Patricia Ann Englehart, of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 1, 2026, at Encounter Fellowship Church, Mt. Gallant Church of God, 1107 Mt. Gallant Rd., Rock Hill, South Carolina, with burial to follow at Grandview Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Greene Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina, on March 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care, as well as the Visiting Angels caregivers, for the wonderful care they provided to Wayne. Special thanks to Barbara, Michelle, and Lynn for their tender care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in his name.
