A loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many. He is greatly missed by all of us. Hewas such a hard worker and so proud of the company he helped build. As we drive around Kansas City, we are reminded of how much of this city he had a hand in developing as well as how manyfriendships were built on hard work and a handshake. We are all so very proud of him. Following his wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes are going to be scattered on his grandfather's farmland in Western Kansas. That place was so special to him and made him into the hardworking man he became. He was born in Spearville, Kansas, and raised in Dodge City, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Pat daughters Amy and Katie (John), and five grandchildren Mindy, Molly,Thomas, Teddy, and Beau. Along with his brother Don and family and his sister Margaret and family. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dorthy and Burl Rice, and his beloved sister Nancy Jo. Thanks to all for being such great friends.
May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; and the rains fall soft up your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

I met Dennis in 1974, He has been involved in many projects with me over the years. I was thinking of him today and thought I would look him up. I am saddened to hear he passed a few months ago. My Prayers to the family and friends. He indeed was a hard working dependable guy and I used him for years on many development projects. I moved to Florida in 2004 and lost touch with a lot of my business contacts over the years. I considered him a good friend and wish I had been there before he passed to visit with him. I have good memories of the fun we had working on various projects in KC. Rest in peace Dennis
