Dennis P. Sawyer

Dennis P. Sawyer, 68, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Dennis was born in Louisville, KY to the late Al and Betty Sawyer. He owned and operated Sawyer Construction and Roofing Company.
Dennis was a loving family man and a loyal forever friend. He was a hard-working business owner, always operating out of a deep sense of integrity and honesty. He gave generously and without expectation. His infectious laugh and beaming smile charmed everyone who met him. He enjoyed family beach trips, hunting and fishing, traveling with friends, a perfectly prepared meal, friendly competition around a card table, and an indulgent walk down the pastry aisle of Costco. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, George Sawyer.
Carrying on Dennis's legacy are his children, Lindsey Holmes (Nathan), Jeanine Dillard (Nathan), and Danny Sawyer (Amy); grandchildren, Lucas, Phenix, Kyleigh, and Abigail Holmes, Kynlee, Bailey, and Casen Dillard, and Barrett and Beckham Sawyer; and brother, Andy Sawyer (Becky).
Memorial visitation for Dennis will be from 1-2 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Sharing of memories will be at 2 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
