It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Wayne Schmidt, Sr., a beloved father, devoted husband, cherished grandfather, and proud former Marine. Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 11, 1947, Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. dedicated his life to serving his country and his family. His time in the Marine Corps was marked by bravery and commitment, earning him the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemen and women.
As a father, Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. was a guiding light, always offering wisdom, support, and unconditional love. His children, Dennis W. Schmidt, Jr. (Ammera), and Eric A. Schmidt will forever remember his strength, kindness, and the countless lessons he imparted.
A loving husband to Karen Schmidt, Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. was a pillar of support and a source of endless love. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and devotion for 60 years.
As a grandfather, Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. brought joy and laughter to his grandchildren, Skyler and Leila, creating memories that will be cherished forever. His legacy of love and generosity will live on through them.
Dennis W. Schmidt Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit, courage, and love will continue to inspire us every day.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 1:00PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.
