Dennis E. Schmoyer, 71, of Hereford Township, died peacefully, Monday, September 22, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Diane J (Schaffer) Schmoyer. Born in Allentown, Dennis was the son of the late Elwood H and Grace R (Stauffer) Schmoyer. Dennis was a member of the St. Peter’s Union Church.
Dennis was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, Class of 1972.
Dennis was a truck driver for over 40 years until his retirement in 2021. His most recent employment as a milk hauler gave him the opportunity to build cherished relationships with the farmers.
Dennis was a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed stock car racing. Over the years, he worked on several pit crews in the local racing circuit. He was also a proud Grandfather who enjoyed supporting his grandchildren by attending their extracurricular activities.
In addition to his wife of 22 years, he is survived by his children: Shannon (Schmoyer) Noska, wife of Joshua; Ryan MacKewen, husband of Stephanie; Stephanie Schmoyer; and Tracy MacKewen. Other survivors include sister, Donna (Schmoyer) Schlegel, wife of Grant; and four grandchildren: Brendan Noska, companion Michaella Miles; Emilie Noska; Carlee MacKewen; and Bryanna MacKewen.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday evening, September 25, 2025, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 25 East Weis Street, Topton. A graveside service to honor and celebrate Dennis’s life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Union Church cemetery, 7863 St. Peter’s Road, Macungie, with The Reverend Dr. Paul Sorcek officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to St. Peter’s Union Church, PO Box 147, Macungie, PA 18062-0147, in Dennis’s memory.
