Dennis Sherfey

COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Dennis Dwight Sherfey, age 57 of Cookeville, passed away suddenly on Sunday January 25, 2026, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 5, 1968, in Detroit, MI. Dennis recently embarked on a new journey in his career at Milwaukee Tool in Cookeville, showcasing his dedication as a hard worker. Before this, he spent several years as an auto mechanic, a profession that allowed him to express his problem-solving skills.

Throughout his life, Dennis was known for his warm, teddy bear-like presence. His willingness to do anything for anybody exemplified his generous spirit, earning him the affection of those who knew him. His family and friends remember him as a person whose kindness touched many lives.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Jo Sherfey; his daughter, Billie Jo Murphy; his brother, Matthew Norris and his wife, Trenda; his sister, Cheryl Vittiglio; and his cherished grandchildren, Raiden and Trevin Miller.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Jean Sherfey, and siblings, Michael and Rachel Hinrich.

Memorial services will be planned for a later date.

Dennis Sherfey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
