Dennis Splittgerber, 85, of Erhard, died Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Dennis Lloyd Splittgerber was born March 27, 1940, to Heinrich and Thelma (Leeper) Splittgerber at their family home in Minnesota.
He attended District #187 Country School in Edwards, MN and Pelican Rapids High School. Dennis was a Dairy Farmer all of his life, and also worked as a carpenter for various companies and most recently as a welder for Henry Buildings.
On May 4, 1963, Dennis married Carol Ackerson at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, MN.
Dennis was a life-time member of Tonseth Lutheran Church, serving on the council and cemetery committees. He was a 4-H leader and a dedicated volunteer at the Fergus Falls Food Shelf.
He was a skilled furniture maker, welder, and mechanic. He could fix anything.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Carol Splittgerber; his parents, Heinrich and Thelma Splittgerber; granddaughters, Amanda and Angela Boyd; brother, Fred Splittgerber, and his foster sisters, Alice Stenstrom, Rose Bredeson, Violet Engebretson, and Daisy Gentry.
Dennis is survived by his children, Kathy (Richard) Klug and Denyce Boyd; sister, Vonnie Kenyon; sister-in-law, Barb Melkert; grandchildren, Anthony Morgan and Andrew Klug; special cousins, Stenstroms, Bredesons, and Gentrys, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at Tonseth Lutheran Church, rural Erhard, MN, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Tonseth Cemetery, rural Erhard, MN
