Dennis Harold Thilk

Dennis Thilk, a cherished resident of Chesterfield Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on Monday, May 27, 1946, Dennis lived a life rich in connection, laughter, and service.
Dennis was a devoted husband to Nancy Thilk (Pipe) of Chesterfield Township and a beloved brother to Delores St. Mary, Bernice Meyer, and Beatrice Welder. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Dwayne, Susan, Marie, Marian, and Bobby.
Preceded in death by his father, Harold Thilk, and his mother, Minnie Thilk (Bossow), Dennis carried forward their legacy of dedication and hard work. With 35 years of dedicated service, Dennis retired from Ford Motor Company's Utica Trim in 2000, where he worked in the maintenance department.
An enthusiast of life's simple pleasures, Dennis spent his days hunting, fishing, and riding his golf cart to visit neighbors. Summers were often celebrated with lively barbecues and cherished trips to his cabin in Wellston. A proud member of Gilberts Sportsman Club, he enjoyed many Sundays socializing with friends. Passionate about old tractors, Dennis owned a few and could often be found conversing with both familiar faces and strangers alike, sharing stories and experiences.
In his younger years, Dennis was known for his prowess in cutting wood, a testament to his strength and love for nature. He also spent winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama, embracing the warmth and camaraderie of friends.
Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to pay their respects at a visitation held at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel in New Baltimore, MI on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service celebrating Dennis's life will follow at Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel on the same day at 7:00 pm.
