Dennis Columbus Thornton was the son of the late James B Thornton and Janie Ruth Thornton. Dennis was born on December 13th 1959. He was 65 years old. Dennis departed this life on Sunday March 16th 2025 with family by his side. Dennis was a member of the United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith were he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Dennis graduated from Andover High School in Lithicum MD. He briefly attended Morgan State University where he studied Chef cooking. He worked at several restaurants in Glen Burnie MD as a cook. Dennis was also an advocate landscape gardener. He enjoyed cutting grass, planting shrubs, flowers, and other beautiful plants. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cooking great meals at home and watching the Ravens football games.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Bishop James B Thornton and Mother Janie Ruth Thornton, his sister Jequetta M Glenn, his brother Larry Thornton, and his brother James B Thornton Sr.
Dennis Leaves to mourn his sister Denise Thornton Talley (Logan J. Talley), Doris Thornton Stone (Alvin Stone) and Thomas A. Thornton. He also leaves to mourn a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith under the leadership of Bishop Chadwick Thornton and Lady Angel Thornton for there love and support. The family would also like to thank Logan J. Talley, Jamal Glenn, and Portia Edwards for all their help and support.
