Dennis Adolph Timp

Dennis Adolph Timp, 89 of Ossian, Iowa passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Winn Med Hospital in Decorah, Iowa. Dennis donated his body to science at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is the son of Andrew and Frances (Bullerman) Timp and was born November 20, 1935 at the family farm. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian. Dennis attended grade school and graduated from De Sales school.

After finishing high school, Dennis proudly joined the United States Army and served from 1955 to 1957. He took his basic training at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. Dennis was with the 17 th Infantry and served in Korea.

Surviving Dennis are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Timp on June 28, 1974; mother, Frances Timp on October 11, 1989; infant sister, Germaine; sisters, LaDonna "Toots" and Pearl; brother, Adrian; two brothers-in-law, Fidelis Schmitt and Dale Safarik; sister-in-law, Serena Timp; and nephews, Dan Schmitt and Dion Safarik.

The family would like to thank Winn Med Nurses and Staff for the care that Dennis received.

A celebration of life and memorial mass will be held at a later date.

Schmitz-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Ossian, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
