Mr. Dennis Earl Upton

Dennis Earl Upton passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 5, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Dennis was born February 13th 1960, to Earl Lee and Dorothy (Kelly) Upton in Jackson, Mississippi. Dennis is the eldest of five siblings. Dennis attended an apprenticeship at Dunwoody College of Technology located in, Minneapolis, Minnesota where he perfected his skills as an electrician, plumber, skilled builder, and handyman. Whenever he wasn't working, he most enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren, watching sports, especially football and most preferably, the Minnesota Vikings, grilling in his backyard, watching old Westerns, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his life partner and fiancé Mallisa Smith, his children Erica Brown (Johnny), Destine'e McPherson-Williams (Maurice), Dion Woods, Jasmyn Williams (Brandon), DeMisha Cole (Alfonso), Ebony harper (Michael). His grandchildren: Soheila Staten, Xavion Smith, Tahj Staten, Damarion Woods, Cadence Mix, Eziah Harper, Emyra Harper, Anina Cole, Ayanna Cole, Michael Jr. Harper, King Harper, Mauriea McPherson, Reeia Williams, Semaj Henry, Ke'Asja Johnson, and Mecca McPherson. Siblings are Gloria Upton, Beulah Diane Upton, Jerry Upton, and Carolyn Blahbloh. As well as a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Earl Lee Upton and mother Dorothy Lee Upton.
Visitation is at 1:00pm and Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Washburn-McReavy Crystal Lake Funeral Chapel 3816 N. Penn Avenue, Minneapolis,MN 55412 on Friday, October 20, 2023.
