RoyAnn Combs

Roy Ann "Ann" Combs, age 90 of Minneapolis, MM, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 5th 2026.

Ann was born August 29th, 1935, in Evansville, Indiana. In 1958 she and her family moved to Minneapolis, MN. She went on to enroll in college and received a Bachelors degree in Business Leadership and Management from the University of Minnesota. She began her career as a Clerical and Teacher Assistant at Harrison Public School. Following this she held many roles including being a Medical Supervisor, Electronics Assembler and Testor, Medical Records Supervisor, and finally a Vice President and Account administration at Roy-Al Limited, Inc. Ann was heavily involved in community services volunteering in Hennepin County with their Juvenile Court System, helping juvenile delinquents and their parents and families. She was also a member of an advisory board at North High Community School, helping to create and implement their teenage mothers' program. Which helped to establish a nursery for returning mothers and parenting classes in homemaking, child development, and sewing.

Ann enjoyed the times being able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends. She loved to do crossword puzzles, cook, watch her favorite TV shows, and eat her favorite ice cream, butter pecan.

She is survived by her step-brother Bear Sandahl of Africa; children Beverly Killebrew of Brooklyn Center, MN; Michael Killebrew of Mpls, MN; James (Leola) Combs of Mpls, MN; Kora Killebrew of Mpls, MN; David (Melissa) Combs of Grand Junction, CO; Thomas (Shelia) Combs Jr., of Grand Junction, CO; DeWayne (Renee) Combs of Stillwater, MN; Janicka Combs of Mpls, MN; 26 beloved grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cora and Earl Sandahl; daughter Roxann Combs; granddaughter Cretia Combs; and great-grandson Donte Combs.

Funeral service will be held Thursday January 22nd 2026. Visitation will be held at 12:00pm and funeral service at 1:00pm at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens 5125 West Broadway Crystal, MN 55429.

Following Funeral service will be the burial service held at Crystal Lake Cemetery 3816 Penn Ave N. Minneapolis MN 55412.
