Dennis Valentine Obituary
Denny was born on Jan. 7, 1947 in Lodi to the late Clifford and Wilma (Carnahan) Valentine and was a 1965 graduate of Norwayne High School. On June 11, 1965 he married the former Sheila K. Reed and she survives. He retired from CSX Railroad in 2008 after 43 years of service and had made his home in the Sterling area all of his life. He loved gardening, mowing and working outside and he enjoyed watching the old Westerns on TV.
Surviving is his wife, Sheila; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Brian Followay of Creston; son, Terry Valentine of Sterling; grandsons, Derryck and Cody Hartong; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Sid Simpkins of Orrville and brother-in-law, Ray Piatt of Rittman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwain (Jewell) Valentine, Ronald (Sheilah) Valentine and Curtis Valentine and sister, Janet Piatt.
