Memorial service for Dennis Paul Watson, age 58, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Mike Haverland, minister of the Frederick Church of Christ, officiating.

Mr. Watson passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma.He was born November 2, 1965, in Huntland, Tennessee, to Agnus and Helen (Dodson) Watson. At age 5, Dennis came to live at the Tipton Children's home in Tipton, Oklahoma. He attended grades K-12 at Tipton, graduating in 1985. After graduating high school, he attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus. He worked as a correctional officer at several correctional facilities in Texas and Oklahoma, and security guard at Tyson in Vernon, Texas. He enjoyed watching his son play football and perform in the school band. The two of them also enjoyed fishing and finding new fishing holes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Glenn Watson; and an infant grandson: Gavian Castillo.

He is survived by a special friend: Sherril Nicks, and one son: Josiah Watson, of the home; three daughters: Cayla Denise Watson and her three children (Genasis Campbell, Israel Campbell, and Corithian Rodriquez), Carey Salazar and her husband Esteban and children (Lori Ann Marie Salazar, Esteban Antonio "E.J." Salazar Jr. and Dennis's only great grandchild, Bella'Ann Zenaida Castaneda), and Crista Watson and children (Galias, Khaleesi, and Visery's Castillo; three brothers: Danny Watson, Roger Watson, both of Winchester, Tennessee, and Billy Watson, of Lynchburg, Tennessee; three sisters: Marie Prince and Sarah "Dol" Watson, of Winchester, Tennessee, and Nelli Sue Thompson, also of Tennessee.
