Dennis Dale Wiley, age 77, of Basehor and previously of Bedias, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24th with his family by his side. Visitation will be 10-11am, with the Funeral Service at 11am, both on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Appl Orchard Hospice.

Dennis was born on June 11th, 1948 in Red Oak, Iowa and was the oldest of four children born to Bob & Lela Wiley. He attended school in Basehor and had lived in Basehor, Leavenworth and Iowa, where he mostly worked as a Carpenter. Carpentry work led Dennis to Texas in 1984 where he lived for several years. He was an active member of the Bedias community, where he enjoyed having his John Deere tractor in town parades, was a part of the Volunteer Fire Department, and competed in BBQ Contests with his smoker he named "In-laws and Outlaws". Dennis loved his community and visited the fire department daily until having to move back to Kansas in February of 2024. When time allowed, he loved to spend time with his three sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bob & Lela Wiley and one son Bobby Wiley.

Survivors include his two sons, Allen Wiley of Kansas City, Missouri and John Wiley of Nederland, Texas. His Siblings: Lyle Wiley (Elizabeth) of Basehor, Mary Leondard (Ed) of Basehor, Marie Heath (Shann) of Lake Ozark, MO., as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
