Dennis E. Williamson, Sr., 63 of Tuscaloosa, passed away July 25, 2024 at his residence. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Rev. Ed Talley officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:00 ~ 2:00 pm at the chapel prior to the service.
He is preceded in death by his mother; Nina Williamson, brother; Jay Williamson, niece; Mary Elizabeth Johns and his grandparents; Leroy and Lois Williamson and Jimmie and Naida Fuller.
Survivors include his wife Dottie Williamson, son; Dennis Williamson, Jr., sister; Debra Headrick (Greg), sister-in-law; Tina Williamson, father; Gene Williamson, grandson; Drake Williamson, niece; Kristina Byrd and nephew; Hunter Johns.
Dennis graduated from Tuscaloosa High School -Class of 1978. He attended college at the University of West Alabama. Dennis worked at Bagby Elevator and was self employed at Universal Car Wash Systems, Pro wash and Lube. Dennis loved baseball and football. He coached for over forty years including Jay, Dennis Jr., Drake and Hunter. He loved spending time with family and grilling for everyone. Dennis was a big time deer hunter that loved planting green fields, scouting and preparing for deer season. Deer hunting was just another hobby that he spent time doing with Dennis, Jr. and Drake. They were his whole world - his pride and joy. He was such a hard worker always fixing things for family and whoever needed help. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Williamson, Jr., Drake Williamson, Hunter Johns, Greg Headrick, Dewayne McIntosh, Chris Rubio, Tim Mitchell, and Davy Hall.
