Daron Dex Williamson Sr.

Daron "Dex" Williamson Sr. passed away on June 25,2023 at the age of 55 in New Orleans, La. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Daron"Dex"was a fun, loving, and free spirited man. He was a devoted father, brother, husband, a proud grandfather, and a respected friend. Dex is survived by his beloved wife India Williamson; his children Daron Jr., Sharon, Johnathan, Devin, and Dominisha; and his siblings Floyd (Chris), Norman Jr., Pamela (Renee) Sheena, Sharon, Melvin, Lucille, Margie, Carolyn, and the late Linda Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Norman Sr., and Fannie T. Williamson; his brother and sister in laws Loretta, Paula, Tory (Fahamu), Christopher (Hope), Antonio (Enissa), Treniece (Derik), Angela (Michael), and Tara Jones. Dex graduated from Lawless High School and maintained many lifelong friendships with classmates. He worked for many years with Coastal Cargo Terminal as a General Superintendent. He was passionate, and loved his job and fellow coworkers. He loved just hanging out with family and friends and partying at what he called Club 2500. When he walked in his smile would light up the room along with his jokes. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La on Friday, June 30, 2023 with Visitation from 11 am until 1 pm Service time. Burial will take place at McDonoughville Cemetery, Grenta, La.
