Garrett Paul “Nu” Gerard entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the age of 17. Beloved son of Gary Howard Gerard, Sr. and Christie Hotard Gerard. Loving Grandson of Catherine Davidson and the late Calvin Hotard, Earl Gerard and Isabella Howard Gerard. Beloved brother of Gary Howard Gerard, Jr. (Bethany) and Garon Howard Gerard (Fernesha) and Forever Friend of Sydney Willis. “Nu” is the uncle of Gary Howard Gerard, III. He is the Godson of Troy Gerard (Corine), Brooke Phillips (Jonathan) and Nicole Hebert (AJ). He is survived by a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Garrett was a fun loving sweet young man who loved to be surrounded by family and friends. He loved writing music, playing sports and just chilling out at home. He was the most lovable and loyal person and will forever be missed. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana on Friday, February 27, 2026, beginning at 10AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Avenue A and 5th Street, Westwego, Louisiana.
