Mary Ann Melancon Singleton passed away on Monday February 16, 2026, at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Thomas S. Singleton. Daughter of the late Roland T. Melancon, Sr. and Clare Giblin Hey. Mother of Jason T. Singleton (Lana). Maw Maw of Noelle Singleton. Sister of the late Roland T. Melancon, Jr. (the late Elaine). Nanny of Michael Melancon (the late Nicole) and Holly Melancon. Great Aunt of Mickey, Cecelia and Paiton. Companion of the late George P. Plakotos. She is preceded in death by her pets, Sugar One, Two and Three. She was an Instructor at Belle Terre Playground for Crocheting and Knitting. She also was a Volunteer at Wynhoven Retirement Center. She retired from the Naval Air Station, JRB, New Orleans, Louisiana. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this most difficult time. Graveside Services will be announced at a later date.
