Denny Hal Phillips

Denny Hal Phillips, 81, was born January 31, 1944 and passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at his home in Sardis, TN. Denny proudly served Henderson County as Register of Deeds for 32 years (1978-2010). He was a loving father/grandfather and devoted husband. His kind heart and gentle nature will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, hard work, and unshakeable devotion to his family. He is survived by 2 daughters; Rebecca (Paul) Anderson and Brandy (Marty) Grooms; 5 grandchildren; Caitlyn (Clay) McKinnie, Madisson (Tanner) Dill, Connor Rich, Camryn Rich, and Brayden Walker and 1 great grandchild, Greyson McKinnie. He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 56 years, Mary Nell Blankenship Phillips, his parents, Roy and Agnes Phillips, and a brother, Jerry Phillips. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 24 at 3pm at Reed's Chapel with burial to follow in the Sardis cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:30pm-8pm and Wednesday 12pm until time of service.
