Denzil Edward Maxwell

Denzil Edward Maxwell, 79, of Four states, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Genesis Healthcare in Fairmont. He was born October 24, 1945 in Parkersburg, a son of the late James Edward Lawson Maxwell and Cameline Cutwright Maxwell.
Denzil worked for West Milford Garbage Company having been employed as a laborer. He enjoyed camping, sight seeing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children: Janet Ann Maxwell, Fountain, FL, Nina Mae Todd and husband Edmond Todd, Jr. of Four States, and James Lee Able of Lost Creek; 3 brothers; 1 sister; 5 grandchildren: Joshua Todd, Sr., Edmond Todd III, Tony Lewis Todd, Tiara Jewel Maxwell, and Steven Dire; great grandchildren: Gracie and Vicky Todd, Isabella and Zac Blair, Josh Todd, Jr., Joe, Rainy, Sonnie, Annabelle, and Silas Todd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Vieva Rose Day Maxwell whom he married October 26, 1971,a daughter: Georgia Ann Maxwell a son Denzil E. Maxwell, Jr., and a sister.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 500 E. Main Street, Mannington on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Nuzum officiating.
