Smith Funeral & Cremation ServiceDeo “Dee” Clure, 85, a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, passed away peacefully at Prisma Blount Memorial Hospital on November 13, 2025. He served the U.S. Government with dedication for 32 years.
Dee grew into a man known for his sparkling blue eyes, warm smile, quick wit, generous heart, and rare ability to build just about anything. He devoted countless hours to serving others, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the Patch Ministry, where both his hands and his kindness touched many lives.
He found joy in working on cars, crafting furniture for family and friends, building additions of all kinds to homes, and offering help to anyone who needed it. A fiercely loyal friend and a true giver, Dee lived his life quietly but powerfully—always putting others first. His love for his wife and daughters was deep, steady, and unwavering.
Dee is survived by his devoted wife, Connie H. Clure; his daughter Wendi Clure Fulton and her husband Frank Fulton; his brother Kenneth Clure (Jean); and his sister Barbara Charlton.
He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Dena Clure; his parents Una Mae and George Clure; and his siblings Shirley Rhyne, Maxie Terrel, Lynn Clure, Tom Morris, Reba Slaughter, and George Floyd Clure, Jr.
A Celebration of Life service honoring Dee will be held on December 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Smith Trinity Chapel.
