Deon Malik Buchanan

Deon Malik Buchanan, who just turned 23 of Fayetteville, NC, passed on to his heavenly home on October 14, 2023.

Deon was born October 2, 2000, in Sanford, NC to Tabitha Buchanan and Mark Mack.

Deon attended Pine Forest High School. He played center on the Pine Forest Trojan football team. He was a graduate of the class of 2019. Deon was doing his dream job of security work and was in the process of starting his own company with his best friend.

Deon was a big man with a gentle soul and kind heart, he was always willing to help others. Even though he was a big man he gave the biggest, loving, and tender hugs to his family and friends.

Deon is survived by his mother, Tabitha Sutton; stepfather, James Sutton; father, Mark Mack; stepmother, Rachel Mack; brother, Jordan Buchanan; stepbrother, Deandre Williams and Deon’s grandparents.

The family will receive friends Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service, 610 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Countryside Presbyterian Church Cemetery located at 127 Ponderosa Road, Cameron, NC.

Services are entrusted to Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service and Crematory.
