Deontre’ “Tre” Martez Ricks

Deontre’ “Tre” “Short” Martez Ricks, age 33 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away August 12, 2024, in Owasso, Oklahoma.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Burial will be held at the White Rose Cemetery at a later date.

Deontre’ Martez Ricks was born May 12, 1991, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Greg Ricks and Laura Tuttle. Tre grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and attended school in Bartlesville. He loved Basketball, Video Games and every other sport. Tre worked as a journeyman subtech for the Union.

Survivors include his mother: Laura Ricks; five sisters: Stephanie Shrum and her husband, Tosh of Owasso, OK, Chante Tuttle of Bartlesville, OK, Destiny Mashburn of Tulsa, OK, Justice Mashburn of Indiana and Paris of Atlanta, GA; two brothers: Demetri and Demarco Joseph of Tulsa, OK, grandmother: Wanda Gardner; three aunts: Mildred Leffler of Bartlesville, OK, Alice Brantley of Bartlesville, OK, and Sandra Tuttle of Tacoma, WA; great uncle: Chester Spencer and wife, Charlotte of Bartlesville, OK; four uncles: Corrie Walker and wife Bethany, Marcus Ricks, Nathaniel Ricks and wife, Cathy and Randy Ricks of Bartlesville, OK, his girlfriend: Amber Taylor and 3 kids of Owasso, OK, and a gang of nieces and nephews and a gang of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Earnestine Ricks and his father: Gregory Ricks.
