Derald Cross

Derald Cross, age 75, of Lake Havasu, Arizona went to be with the Lord on July 25th, 2025. Born on September 27th, 1949, in Denison, Texas, to Arvie and Grace Cross, Derald was a proud Army Veteran whose unwavering patriotism, devotion to his beloved wife of over 50 years, Sandy, and his deep love for his family defined his remarkable life. Derald served honorably in the United States Army, dedicating 4 years to protecting the Nation he cherished. His service during the Vietnam War earned him a Purple Heart, and he carried the values of duty, courage, and sacrifice throughout his life. Derald always had a heart full of pride for his country. At home, Derald was a devoted husband to Sandy, with whom he shared a love that spanned over five decades, filled with shared laughter, adventures, and unwavering support. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and love. Derald's warm smile, humor, and wise counsel, left an indelible mark on his loved ones. He found joy in being with family, fishing, cooking, and above all else, caring for his beloved wife Sandy. Derald is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, his sister Shirley DeMarcos, his sister Barbara and brother-in-law Jim Burd, his sister Linda Wilson, his twin-brother Gerald and sister-in-law Charlotte Cross, many in-laws, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and a wide circle of friends who admired his integrity and kindness. Derald's legacy of patriotism, love, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever honored.
