Derek Christopher Connolly

Methuen – Derek Christopher Connolly, 55, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Michelle (Antonino) Connolly, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Raised in Malden, MA, Derek was a proud graduate of Malden Catholic High School, class of 1988. He dedicated his career to his work as a skilled flooring installer, taking pride in his craftsmanship and hard work.

He loved the simple joys most-spending quality time with his family and friends, creating lasting bonds and unforgettable moments. He especially loved summers in Humarock, MA, where he found pure happiness laughing with family and friends, boating and jet skiing on the water, and simply having fun.

Derek leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be deeply and forever missed by his wife, Michelle; his three beloved daughters, Allaina, Marissa, and Sabrina Connolly; and his two brothers, Richard Connolly, Jr. of Humarock, MA, and Daniel Connolly and his wife, Robin Sidell, of Boston. He was predeceased by his mother, Phyllis (Milano) Connolly and Richard Connolly, Sr.

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Derek's life by gathering for calling hours from 3–7 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Methuen Family Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will follow at 7 PM that evening at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
