Derek Garrett Obituary
He was born April 18, 1987 in Macon, Missouri. The son of Terry Lee Garrett and Pamela Sue Perrigo.
Derek is survived by his mother, one brother, Terry Garrett (Delaina) of Fulton, MO, half-brother, Scott Garrett (Julie) of Mt. Sterling, IL, good friend, Lenny Schoonover of Shelbina, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father, one sister Brittany Shinn and grandparents.
Derek enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, arrowhead hunting, camping and drinking with his buddies. He was one of those people you don't forget. He was hilarious without even trying, had a personality that pulled people in, and somehow managed to make everyone smile-even when he was struggling himself. He was broken in ways a lot of people never saw, but his heart was always wide open. He'd give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.
Donations can be made to help family with expenses.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
