Derek Lynn McReynolds, age 44, passed away at his residence in Platteville, Colorado on Friday May 9th, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1980 in Montrose, Colorado. He graduated from Golden High School in 1998 in Golden, Colorado. He lived throughout Colorado in Montrose, Golden, Arvada, Keensberg and Platteville. He enjoyed working for Mile High Mobile Truck Services.
Derek enjoyed a variety of hobbies like bull riding, hunting, and hanging out with his daughter Kristine and step-daughters Daisy and Linzy. He shared many special times with his daughters like going to Disneyland and to the swimming pool. Kristine’s special time with her dad was going to the movies, Linzy loved going to work with Derek and helping him with service calls, and Daisy loved to go hunting and shooting guns with him.
Derek is survived by his mother Diana Silva, father Terry McReynolds, daughter Kristine McReynolds, fiance Molly Bautista, step-daughters Daisy and Linzy Arvizo, ex-wife Brenda McReynolds-Soto, aunt Billy Jo McReynolds, uncle Randy McReynolds, aunt and uncle Barbara and Ralph Hopping, and aunt and uncle Sharon and Hank Estes. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ed and Lela Wolverton and Billy and Ollie McReynolds.
Relatives and friends are welcome at his celebration of life Saturday May 17, 2025 at 3:00 at the Rock Rest Lodge in Golden, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Salvation Army or an alcohol/drug addiction charity of your choice.

The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
