Derek Vandegrift Obituary
Derek A. Vandegrift, 44, of Nesquehoning, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Born in Allentown on December 23, 1980, he was a son of the late Arlene Vandegrift-Klotz.
Derek enjoyed traveling all over the world, cooking for friends and family, playing games, and collecting LEGO. He also loved being around animals, from squirrels to dogs to elephants. There was never an animal he didn't want to pet.
He is survived by his siblings, LauraBeth Shankle and husband, Ben, Amanda Vandegrift and wife, Heather and Matt DeLong and wife, Melanie, as well as his niece Alexia and nephews Dominic and Gabriel.
Services were private for the family.
