Derek Wofford Obituary
Derek Wofford, 71, of Rocky Face, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Wofford and Vivian Wofford Henry, and his stepfather, Joe Henry.
Derek was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. He enjoyed camping, being outdoors, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, cooking, playing golf, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Derek was an avid golfer and loved exploring new places with his loved ones. One of his greatest joys was gathering around a campfire with family and friends, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories. Above all, he cherished time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mehgan Wofford; sons, Tyler Wofford (Kelsey) and Trevor Wofford (Anna Turner); and grandchildren, Berkley and Breck Wofford. Countless extended family and friends also live to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Derek’s life on Sunday from 2 until 4 PM at Love Funeral Home.Flowers will be accepted, and those who wish may also make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in Derek's name.
