Deron Keith Johnson Jr. ("Djayy") May 21, 2003 – January 19, 2026,
Deron Keith Johnson Jr., affectionately known as "Djayy," was born on May 21, 2003, to Jimi Blackwell and Deron Johnson. From the moment he entered this world, Deron brought light, laughter, and a deep sense of care to everyone around him. Deron attended New Beginnings Family Academy, Discovery Magnet School, Brian McMahon High School, Hillhouse High School, and Gateway Community College. He later graduated from the Job Corps CNA program, where he pursued his passion for helping others.
Deron proudly worked at MidState Medical Center, where his compassion and dedication to caring for others were evident in all that he did. He aspired to continue his education and advance further in the medical field.
Deron was known for his deep voice and charismatic presence. He dreamed of becoming a commentator and had a natural ability to draw people in with his words, personality, and warmth. Above all, Deron had a heart for people. He looked out for everyone and made sure those he loved felt seen and cared for. If someone was going through a difficult time, Deron would check in, bring a small gift to lift their spirits, or simply show up when they needed him. Even in moments of conflict, he had a way of easing tension-often inserting himself into conversation just to make things right.
