A funeral service for Derrick Chad Bolin, 44, of Muldrow, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, at First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Derrick was born on Nov. 3, 1980, in Tahlequah, to Jackie Ann (Sanders) Watts and Damon Bolin, and passed away on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025.
A 1999 graduate of Sallisaw High School, Derrick worked as an electrician with Copeland Electric, a job he loved. He enjoyed softball, Oklahoma Sooners football, golfing, hiking, and working on his home. He especially cherished time with Larissa and Xavier. Derrick loved old-school rap, McDonald's coffee, relaxing in his recliner, and time spent with his many friends. He adored his niece, Oakland, and was overjoyed about the arrival of his new niece, Miller, born the day after his passing.
Survivors are mother and step-father, Jackie and Jerry Watts of Sallisaw; sister, Cassandra Lynch and Bentley Kahler of Tahlequah; two nephews, Damon Lynch of Broken Arrow and Preston Lynch and Kylar of Coweta; beloved companion, Larissa Littledeer and her son, Xavier; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Mitchell and Mattie Bolin, Jenkins Sanders and Geneva Sanders Ross.
Active pallbearers will be Damon Lynch, Preston Lynch, Kyle Caughman, Derik Gish, Preston Sparks and Jeff Humphrey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Stewart, Ed and Nikki Smoke, Robert "Bubba" Thompson, John "Boomer" Sanders, Clinton "Booty" Roberts, Justin Mills, Tommy Morgan, Kevin Copeland and the Young Guns Fast Pitch Crew.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
