Derrick Wade Mitchell

Derrick Wade Mitchell, age 62, of Winder, GA, formerly of Buford, GA, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann McDaniel Bryan. He is survived by his parents, Louis and Erma Mitchell of Salem, AL; son, Daniel Walker Mitchell; sister Darlene (Dorsey) McMillian of Elberton, GA; girlfriend and caregiver Terrie Peppers of Winder, GA; brother Ronn (Jennifer) Davis of Cumming, GA; brother Shannon (Malesa) Bryan of Jasper, GA; extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Mr. Mitchell was born February 27, 1963 in Buford, GA. He graduated from North Gwinnett High School, class of 1981. He worked in construction, built cabinets, and was a skilled craftsman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Kenny Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
