Derrick Alexander Robbins, 59, of Charlotte, North Carolina, departed this life on September 27, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Charlotte, NorthCarolina on October 18, 1965, to the late John Robbins and Mary S. Robbins.

A 1984 graduate of Independence High School, Derrick embarked on a long and dedicated career at Campbell Soup Company, where he worked as a Materials Handler for decades.

Derrick will be remembered for his calm and caring nature, his fun-loving spirit, and his generous heart. Family meant everything to him, and he showed an unwavering devotion to

those he loved. A dedicated fan of the five-time Super Bowl-winning Dallas Cowboys, Derrick brought joy, comfort, and strength to everyone around him. Through his kindness, loyalty, and love, he left an enduring example that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Robbins, and his brother, Bryant Robbins.

Those who will continue to cherish his memory include: long-term companion Connie Rice; siblings: Ricky Steele, Pamela Robbins, Reginald Robbins, Anthony Robbins (Tonya),

Darryl Robbins (Michelle), Tonya Robbins and Jeffrey Robbins (Rose); his sister-in-law, Marcella Robbins; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends who will remember him with love and gratitude.

Funeral Service: A service to celebrate Derrick's life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Derrick's life reflects the love and grace he shared with others. Though he faced trials, we find comfort in Scripture: "Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" (2 Corinthians 4:17).
