It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Derrick Hayden Roberts, who left us too soon on January 3, 2026, at the young age of 18. Born on June 11, 2007, in Mineral Wells, Texas, the son of Dustin and Rebecca (Nolte) Roberts.
Derrick brought laughter and light to everyone around him. Derrick was known for his infectious smile and easygoing spirit. He loved spending time with family and friends and made countless memories that will forever be cherished. Derrick worked at Blue Beacon in Weatherford. He was hard working, funny, and enjoyed fishing, playing football, skateboarding, classic cars, or just being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dustin Roberts; his Nanny, Debra Ann Self Wilson; grandfather, Robert Nolte; grandmother, Debra Wilson; and his Mimi, Nelda Cockrell.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Roberts; his brother, Troy Roberts; PawPaw Teddy Wilson; PeePaw, Frank Roberts and wife Terry; step-mom, Shelby Snapp; step-brothers, Bobby Phelps and Kutter Snapp; aunts and uncles, Jamie Nolte, Ashley Charles, Kandi Dobbs and husband Ernie, Charles Nolte and wife Heather, Michael Spurlock and wife Dusty; Darrin Charles, Jennifer Cross and husband Jimbo, Monica Lamaster, and Jose Franco; his top dawg cousin, Aaron Charles; girlfriend, BrookeLyn Shae; as well as many other cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., January 6, 2026, at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Friends and family are invited to come and share their memories of Derrick as we celebrate his life together. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Addiction Recovery Ministry (ARMS) or any charity to help with Fentanyl or drug addiction.
Derrick may be gone from our sight, but he will always remain in our hearts.
