Desiree Raven Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shoreline Memorial Services - Muskegon on Oct. 1, 2025.
Desiree Lynn Raven (Collins) of Muskegon, MI, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side
on September 23, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born on January 24, 1955, in Muskegon, Michigan,
to Charlotte Longieliere-Fisher and Dale Collins Sr.
In 1974, Desiree married the love of her life, William "Bill" Raven, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Together,
they shared nearly 51 wonderful years of marriage.
A devoted follower of Christ, Desiree dedicated her life to sharing her faith and the love of Jesus with
those around her. She was deeply involved in church life, especially in Decolores, Deco-Tec, and
mission work, where she spread the gospel with joy and passion. Desiree often spoke of the day she
would run into the arms of Jesus, and she couldn't wait to get to Heaven.
Desiree's greatest delight was her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their laughter and love. From silly pranks and dancing at
stoplights to heartfelt conversations and phone calls, she created countless memories that will be
treasured forever.
She especially loved teaching her grandchildren about Jesus, doing devotionals, and reading the Bible
with them. Each of her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and her love for
them was boundless. Above all, she adored her husband, Bill, who was her partner in faith, family, and
love.
Desiree is preceded in death by her son, Ian; daughter, Brandy; mother, Charlotte; father, Dale Collins
Sr.; brothers, Dale and Dave; stepfather, James Longieliere Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; her brother, James Longieliere (Kim); and her five children,
David Longeliere, William Raven (Kristy), Amber Raven (Mike), Keli Kempker (Derek), and Heather
Raven. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Tammarie (Chris), Payton (Kenneth),
Isabelle, Andrew, Kaden, Kameron, Emerson, Jaxon, Khloe, Drake, Hannah, Heaven, Aven, Ashton,
Liberty, Caleb, Hailey, and Brandy; as well as her cherished great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Everett,
Dawson, and Daimon Jr. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Her family takes great comfort in knowing that Desiree is now rejoicing in the presence of her Savior,
just as she always longed to do.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25th, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Shoreline Memorial Services,
137 E. Laketon Ave., Muskegon, Michigan 49442.
The funeral service will be held Friday, September 26th, at 11:00 a.m. at Kingdom Life Church, 1215 E.
Apple Ave., Muskegon, Michigan 49442.
In lieu of flowers, Desiree would love for you to donate or volunteer at your local mission. Most of all,
she would want you to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Desiree loved the color purple. She would be honored if those attending her services wore purple in her
memory.

I wasn't able to make it to Desi's visitation nor service but I have many good memories of us as children, teens and as adults raising our children. Sending my condolences to Desi's brother, Jimmy; her husband, Bill and their family (children, grandchildren and great grandchildren). I know my parents were overjoyed at their reunion with their niece.
