Destiny Marie Pickard was born on October 4, 1993, and passed on March 31, 2023. Her light was extinguished but her shine will live on through all of us. She was 29 years young. She was born in San Antonio, Texas and the world was that much better for it.
Even though she has left Earth to touch the hand of God, she still left her mark on this world. She left behind her beautiful Mother Nelia, loving sister Laura, and 3 older brothers Latrell, Kevin, and Felino.
Destiny graduated from Lanier High School and was always a people person with immeasurable love in her heart. She loved music, dancing, art, and most of all she loved being around family and friends. She approached every situation in life head on with a full heart and strength which she no doubt got from her loving mother Nelia Pickard. Destiny was always willing to learn something new and make it her own A Jack of all Trades if you will. Fun times and good memories were always a must with this beautiful creation of God. She never had any problems when it came to helping friends and spreading love. Creating beautiful memories was second nature to her. With such a full heart she still had room for anybody who needed it. She always talked about family and how much she wished she could see everyone more often. Her Aunts Janie Carrales, Diana Alvarado, Belia Lozano, recently deceased Norma Garza, Aida Gosalvez, Uncle Robert Jr. Garcia along with all her nieces, nephews, and cousins were always talked about when she was around. She loved her whole family with a passion knowing she was loved back. She always said, "Family no matter what".
It has always been known that the good Lord has a plan for all of us. Even if we do not understand his reasons, we know what he does is right. Destiny knew this and so do we. Destiny was a poet but instead of using words, she used actions.
(Thessalonians 5:11 - "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing") Her actions spoke volumes.
As we mourn our beloved Angel let us remember the good as well and rejoice about her journey in the Kingdom of Heaven, knowing she will always be right by us watching and loving. Let us remember her smile, let us remember her laugh and her spunk. Let us not say good bye but I'll see you soon my love.
(Corinthians 13:4-8a "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth")
Thank you for all the memories you shared with us, we will never forget. Now it is time to rest and be at peace.
In loving memory of Destiny Marie Pickard.
