Devan Thomas Casey was born in Kennett, Missouri, on August 11, 2003. He was the son of Bethel Edward Casey, Jr. and Darlene Hamilton Casey.
He departed this life on July 12, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 21 years old.
Devan worked as a welder at Arcosa.
Devan loved life and especially hanging out with his friends. He had a huge personality and a heart of gold. He was willing to always help his friends or family any way he could. He loved fishing, hunting, mudding and 4 wheeling.
He is survived by his parents: Bethel & Darlene Casey of Caruthersville, MO; a brother: Johnathan Casey (Sarah Rudd) of Caruthersville, MO; a sister: Michela Casey (Corey Vaughn) of Caruthersville, MO; his grandfather: Bethel Casey, Sr. (Gail) of Finley, TN; his grandmother: Eunice Blair (James) of Fisk, MO; aunt: Jamie Sweet of Poplar Bluff, MO; uncle: Curtis Hamilton (Karry Kelly) of Blytheville, AR; three nieces: Taylor Brook Watkins, Caroline Elizabeth Vaughn, and Peyton Lucille Casey; a special friend: Idakay Williams; and many other cousins, relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother – Lucille Casey, and his grandfather – Wayne Thomas Hamilton, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge of services.
