Devin Bidwell Obituary

Visit the Allred Funeral Home website to view the full obituary.

Devin Roy Bidwell, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at his home in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Born on November 11, 1966, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, he lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and the great outdoors.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Bidwell, and their cherished children, David, Mary, and Michelle. Devin is survived by his siblings, Dan (Lorena) Bidwell, Diana Bidwell, Doreen Perez, Deleen Bidwell, as well as a number of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth (Irwin) Bidwell, and his brother David Bidwell.

After completing his GED he went on to earn his welding journeyman card in 2005. Devin dedicated many years to the Tool & Die industry, where his stalwart work ethic and reliable character were deeply appreciated by his colleagues. He took great pride in his profession, embodying the diligence and ingenuity his work required.

A man of faith, Devin found strength and solace in his Christian beliefs, living a life that reflected his values of love and generosity.

Devin's passion for life was as immense as his sense of adventure. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, especially enjoying a trip all around Lake Michigan. He loved to travel and often shared tales of his travels to Hawaii, his favorite destination. His journeys also took him to the warm sands of Acapulco where he created memories to last a lifetime. He had a love for the outdoors that was rooted in his childhood, stemming from days spent in the woods cutting trees with his father and reveling in nature's beauty.

He was a sportsman, enjoying golf and baseball, and excelled in bowling, where he achieved the remarkable feat of multiple 300 perfect games. Pool games also saw his competitive spirit shine.

But above all, Devin was a kid at heart. When his niece and nephews were young, he loved to play with them, carrying them around on his back or shoulders. They often spent time at his home giving their parents a break on weekends. He was so very proud of his children and always had a story to tell about how they were growing, or how well they did on a test or their grades in school. He taught his nephews and his children to play chess and would often visit co-workers who played chess including having mini-tournaments.

Devin will be remembered as a hardworking man from his teenage years onward. He was generous, often plowing driveways of elderly or disabled persons just to help them out. While life circumstances in his later years made things difficult for him, he continued to love and interact with his wife and children as much as he could as well as keeping in touch with his friends from his sports teams and his Wisconsin family. As we bid farewell to Devin Roy Bidwell, we celebrate the vibrant tapestry of stories, relationships, and love he leaves behind.
