Age 31
Loving father of Liam William Mentzel. Devoted son of Brandi Perkins, Lloyd Perkins and Chad Mentzel. Cherished brother to Candee Perkins and Deandra Mentzel (David Woods). Loving uncle to Jodi Stewart, Delainey Sue Woods, and David Woods Jr. Maternal grandparents, Georgia Jones, Dennis Isaac's (Christine), and paternal grandmother Billie Jane (Janie) Mentzel. Dear nephew of Rhonda Murphy (Nana), Todd Mentzel, Jill Lindsley (Dave), and Tricia Curtis. Numerous cousins and a lot of special friends.
Proceeded in death by paternal grandfather John Mentzel, maternal great-grandparents Rollo and Elaine Murphy, and beloved soulmate Abigail Marie Jordan.
Devin grew up in Batavia, Ohio where he loved playing in the dirt, playing in the creek, riding bikes, fishing, eating, and teasing his little sister. Devin wrestled and played football for Batavia High School, and was a part of the 2012-2013 state playoff team. He graduated from Live Oaks Vocational School for Heavy Equipment Operating. Devin loved everything outdoors, but his true passion was fishing. He had an obsession with Air Jordans and his Puffco Peak. (IYKYK)
Devin's favorite thing on this earth was Liam and his family. Devin was Mamma's boy and loved her cooking like no other. Devin loved playing with his nieces and nephews, family gatherings, and spending fun times with his friends.
Devin's world was Liam, his family, and friends. Devin had a wonderful, corny, and mostly inappropriate sense of humor. He lightened up any room he walked into and always had people laughing. Devin had a way of making everyone feel important and special.
Love you later, Bub.
