Devin Scott Oltman, 16, of Chillicothe Illinois, passed on February 27, 2024 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria Illinois. Born on November 11, 2007 to Jason Oltman and Amber Stephens. He was a sophomore at Illinois Valley Central High School in Chillicothe.
Devin loved fishing and soccer. He played soccer for IVC through his freshman year. He was smart, with an engineer's mind and loved to build things, as well as take them apart to see how they worked. He had a great sense of humor that made everyone smile and laugh. He loved fireworks and riding his fourwheeler. He was strong but still sensitive and could bring sunshine with his smile on the gloomiest days.
Devin is survived by his parents, Jason & Katrina Oltman of Chillicothe; his birth mom Amber Stephens of Peoria; grandparents Jack & Carol Oltman of Chillicothe, grandmother Deanna Stephens of Florida; siblings Kinsey Brooks, Malea Oltman, Kalei Brooks, & Keith Brooks, all of Chillicothe, Mika Reinke of Florida; aunts and uncles Dave & Betty Oltman of Lacon, Jeff & Kelly Oltman of Lacon, Darren & Lorinda Oltman of Rome, Cheryl Stephens of Chicago; and many cousins and extended family, including Duke the family dog.
A funeral service will be held Saturday March 2nd at Immaculate Conception Cemetery at 12:30 with visitation being held from 10 to 12 PM at Lenz memorial home in Lacon that same day.
