DeWayne Kirkland Pinsky, 61, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, passed away on February 25, 2026 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Born on April 14, 1964, in Hopkins County, Kentucky, DeWayne was the son of the late Paul Allen Hollis and Martha Marsh Pinsky. In addition to his parents, DeWayne is preceded in death by his adopted father, Robert Pinsky and his beloved wife, Jane Pinsky.
DeWayne will be remembered for his vibrant personality and joyful spirit. He was a true jokester, often described as the life of the party and the loudest voice in the room. His laughter and energy filled every space he entered. He especially loved cooking and sharing meals with those he loved.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son, Brian Smith (Brittany) of Texas; three daughters, Ashley Pluko (Chris) of Lumber Bridge, Shanyn Benton (TJ) of St. Pauls, and Valery Hufford (Robert J.) of Fayetteville; three brothers, James Pinsky of Virginia, David Duncan of Kentucky, and Jeffery Hollis of Kentucky; two sisters, Paula Shiver of Texas and Pamela Lamb of Kentucky; and ten grandchildren, Bentley, Aubree, Connor, Travis, Katelyn, Maleah, Brayden, Sloan, Baylor, and Shelby.
DeWayne’s presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
