Dewey Cole Obituary
Mr. Dewey Wayne Cole age 79, of Marion went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2023. He was born April 27, 1944 and was the son of the late Pauline Burnette Cole and Lonnie Vance Cole.
Dewey retired from Drexel Furniture Company follow many years of faithful service. He was known as an avid fisherman and loved the mountains especially the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dewey was a loving husband father brother and grandfather. He especially loved his grand and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce Penland Cole; four children, Tim Asher (Tammy), Darren Hager (Pam), Tammy Cole Vess (Jerry) and Beth Cole; one sister, Judy Cole Ashe Sepela; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Beam Funeral Service with the Reverend Johnny R. Pruett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cole Family for funeral expenses.
